Open this page each day and play the daily 4×4 board. Undo is disabled. Your unfinished daily game is saved on this device, and completing the challenge keeps your streak alive.
The same board for everyone
The daily seed is derived from the UTC calendar date. That seed controls the opening tiles and every later random tile, so identical moves produce the same tile sequence for players around the world.

No. Undo is disabled in the Daily Challenge so each attempt follows the moves you actually make.
How Daily 2048 scoring and verification work
The Daily Challenge gives every player the same UTC-date seed. The starting board and later tile spawns are deterministic for the same move sequence, which makes scores comparable without requiring an account.
- Play the daily 4×4 board with no Undo. Your unfinished attempt can resume on the same device until the daily challenge changes.
- When you submit a result, the server replays the submitted move sequence against that day’s seed instead of trusting a score sent by the browser.
- A leaderboard entry is accepted only when the replayed board, score and run details match the submitted result. Verified results can then appear in the public ranking.
Daily Challenge vs normal 2048
Normal 2048 uses a fresh random run and allows Undo in standard mode. Daily uses the date-based seed, disables Undo and adds a verified leaderboard, so the purpose is comparison rather than simply chasing a personal best.
